1,000 Hands

"Always providing a Helping Hand!"

1,000 Hands provides humanitarian aid, disaster relief, emergency services, and safety preparation all over the world. Providing an affordable source for medicinal aid for both humans and Pokémon, our goal is to give everyone the capability to receive the care they need. 1,000 Hands has been able to provide disaster relief and save countless Pokémon in nearly every region of the world thanks to our patented Rescue Ball™️.

Our History

1,000 Hands was founded in 2000 by our CEO, Professor Toru Larkspur. Professor Larkspur, having previously been a lead researcher within Silph Co. and instrumental in the creation of the Master Ball would go on to use his knowledge to invent the Rescue Ball™️, an affordable and highly effective Poké Ball that allows its user to catch a Pokémon without fail - all at a fraction of the cost of a Master Ball. With this new invention, 1,000 Hands was born - named after the 1,000 Hands of Arceus used to create our world.

While 1,000 Hands would find modest success within the Kanto region, our company quickly expanded as we moved into Unova following the aftermath of the Plasma Organization's first reign of terror across the region. Seeing the value in 1,000 Hand's invention, the Rescue Ball, many were quick to give our company the funding we needed to expand and provide even more aid, expanding into medicine manufacturing, safety preparedness training, and even supporting fledgling trainers with the skills needed to go on their Pokémon Journeys!

Today, we continue to attempt to provide a Helping Hand to those in need all across the world!

About Our Founder

Despite being the Founder and CEO of 1,000 Hands, Toru Larkspur manages to remain to be a down-to-earth and sociable person. He loves sports, Casteliacones, Pokémon, grilling vegan cuisine, and catch-and-release fishing. Go Saffron Psyducks!

He was born on November 9th, 1978 and always showed an interest in rescuing Pokémon from a young age. He would spend his Summer vacations from 1990 to 1994 volunteering with the Pokémon Rangers in Almia, which only helped cement his passion. He would enroll at the University of Saffron at only 14, being one of the youngest students the University has ever seen!

Graduating at the top of his class at Saffron University at the mere age of 19, Professor Larkspur worked his way up from an intern for Silph Co. to a head researcher all in less than a year in 1996. He was instrumental in the invention of the Master Ball, and would go on to use his know-how to form his own company 2000, inventing the Rescue Ball™️. From his ingenuity and spirit, 1,000 Hands was born. Since then, he's inspired countless individuals to change the world for the better and offer a helping hand to those in their own lives.
